This was our third trip with Lawson’s and Leon and our first to Namibia.
I can honestly say that every part of the Namibia trip was a highlight and so amazing. I don’t think there was an hour of any day that we did not really enjoy ourselves and appreciate the trip.
Leon has an amazing eye and can spot things most people would miss. He has a vast experience of birds and animals and is an incredible photographer happy to share information with you when you ask.

The staff at Lawson’s were exceptional especially Mavourneen. Everything was organised exactly how we asked. The camps they selected to stay in were brilliant. Any hiccup was resolved without fuss. This is why I would recommend Lawsons and especially Leon as a guide to everyone and circumstances permitting we would be delighted to do another trip with you!

Just really enjoyed my 4th birding/safari trip with Lawson's ,this time to South Africa from Johannesburg to the northern Kruger. Leons naturalist skills are always fantastic and the arrangements as always ran like clockwork. The accommodation and company were wonderful and I would never consider an African trip with anyone else. Can't wait until next time. Dave and a friend did a custom 'Escarpment & Kruger' birding & wildlife safari with us in February 2025.

A great experience visiting Kruger and Sabi Sands. We saw everything we hoped for including Rhino, Sable, Wild Dogs, Pangolin and some great close encounters with the big cats. Everything was very well organized and our guides Jason in Kruger and Matt in Sabi ensured we saw as much as possible. Jane and her husband did a custom 'Focus on Predators' safari in October 2024.

I’ve travelled with Lawson's quite a few time, mainly in Southern Africa. I’ve never been disappointed with the arrangements and the safari guides. Birding and wildlife never disappoints mainly down to their expertise and experience. This was my first time with them for a Kenya trip. It couldn’t have been better from the moment we were met at Nairobi by their friendly and professional agent, Thomas until we left. Fantastic lodge and a luxurious camp. I am already planning the next trip with them. I couldn’t recommend them more. Alex did our Masai Mara Migration Safari.

Dear Leon,

The trip is slowly sinking in. We had a great one. The stage was set by the different habitats Eastern South Africa has to offer, but with your expertise you pulled out an amazing number of birds. Thanks to your knowledge of the calls and songs combined with a very sharp eye we had great success in finding the birds I wanted to see. Thank you for your efforts, it was a tiring but very rewarding 16 days. The tiredness will be forgotten, so all that remains are memories of a great trip (Eastern South Africa Endemics 2021).
